Obituary of Emily Goepferich

Miss Emily J. Goepferich, 101, of Denville, formerly of Point Pleasant and Vailsburg, died on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in the Franciscan Oaks Health Care Center, Denville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 481 Sanford Ave., Vailsburg, on Monday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. Entombment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Arrangements are by The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, Maplewood. Born in Newark, Miss Goepferich resided in Point Pleasant and Vailsburg before moving to Denville six years ago. She was the assistant to the purchasing director of the County of Essex, Newark, for many years before retiring in 1973. Miss Goepferich enjoyed singing and playing the piano, and was a past member of the Sacred Heart Choir and Rosary Society. She was the beloved sister of the late Florence and Anna Goepferich.
