Obituary of Mary Verducci

Mary Auriemma Verducci of Union, N.J., passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Clark Nursing Home in Clark, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Wednesday, July 2, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Maria was born and raised on Church Street in South Orange and graduated from Columbia High School in 1935. She owned and operated Verducci's Liquor and Deli in South Orange from 1948 to 1970. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Carmine Verducci; devoted mother of Mary Ann Asadorian and Barbara MacLaughlin; loving grandmother of Gary Asadorian, Laura Danielsen, Scott and Stephen MacLaughlin, and great-grandmother of Andrew, Justin and Nicole. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
