Catherine I. Connelly Bordman, 83, of Maplewood died
on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Green Hill
Retirement Community, West Orange. Relatives and
friends are invited to attend the funeral service at
The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave.,
Maplewood, on Saturday, April 17, at 11 a.m.
Interment is private. Visitation will be held on
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more

Mrs. Bordman lived in Maplewood for many years. She
was a children's librarian at Thomas Jefferson
Elementary School for the Morristown Board of
Education for many years before retiring. She was a
member of the Peace Action Organization in Maplewood,
a political activist and a lover of the arts. She
received her B.A. degree from Northeastern University
and a master's degree in library science at Rutgers
University. She was the beloved wife of the late Abe
Bordman; devoted mother of Martha and Anthony
Bordman; devoted grandmother of Sophia and Olivia
Karwowski, Samantha, Joshua, and Dylan Bordman; dear
sister of Mary Springer, Ann Stanton and Rev. Joseph
Connelly. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors
Without Borders USA, P.O. Box 5030, Hagerstown, Md.
