Obituary of Gertrude G. Ghuzzi

Gertrude "Gert" Ghuzzi (nee Claffey), 82, a lifelong resident of Union, N.J., passed away on Nov. 15, 2012, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10:15 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Born in Newark, N.J., Gertrude was employed by Bell Telephone, Union, as a phone operator for directory assistance for 25 years until she retired. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Ghuzzi for 59 years; devoted mother of Karen Hanley and her husband, Brian; Timothy Ghuzzi and his wife, Elizabeth, and Joanne Ghuzzi; loving grandmother of Christopher, Mary Catherine, and Colin Hanley; dear sister of Dorothy Leone and the late Walter Claffey and Marjorie Jordan.
