On Monday, July 1, 2013, Concetta G Annucci (née Giampietro), 98, Of Maplewood New Jersey died at Winchester Gardens. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange on Saturday, July 6 at 10:30 AM, Internment St. Theresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A Holle Funeral home 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Born in Mariscovetere, Italy, Concetta immigrated to the United States at the age of 10. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Joseph's College Brooklyn New York. She won a scholarship for graduate studies at the Sorbonne, France. After raising her family she taught high school French and Italian for many years in Staten Island. Concetta was a active parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and serving on the Peace and Justice Committee, the Rosary Society and the bible studies group. Charismatic and extroverted, Concetta touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered. Devoted wife of 65 years to the late Albert Annucci. Beloved Mother of Mary Anne Williams and husband Richard, Geraldine Castellano and husband Stephen, and Anthony Joseph Annucci and wife Linda. Dear sister of the late Alexander Giampeitro and Isabel G Knoll. Loving grandmother of David Williams, Laura Fasolo, Peter Williams, Stephanie Keating, Alison Minor, and Lisa Fezenko. Great grandmother of Siena, Bennett, Hannah, Sean, Keira, Logan, Liliana, Nicholas and Nicole. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Interfaith Hospitality Network (for the Homeless) of Essex County. 46 Park St. Montclair, NJ 07042.
