John R. Buchner Dearest husband and father, formerly of South Orange, 65 John R. Buchner, 65, of Whiting, N.J., formerly of South Orange, N.J., passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Saturday, Dec. 27, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is private. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Born in Orange, N.J., Mr. Buchner lived in Whiting for the past nine years. He was a master slater and roofer for many years for various companies throughout North Jersey until he retired in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969. Mr. Buchner was the beloved husband of Beverly Brady Buchner for 44 years; devoted father of John Brady; Lori Wallace and her husband, Robert; Kelly Buchner, and Deidrianne Agosto and her husband, Miguel; dear brother of Rosalinda Graziano, Robert Buchner, and the late Lawrence Buchner and loving grandfather of Cassandra, Nicholas, Dante, Victoria, Robert, Adrianna, Devin, and Danilynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, any donations to the family would be appreciated.
