Obituary of Sharda Sharma M.D.

Sharma --- On January 7, 2016, Sharda Sharma M.D. of Summit, formerly of Short Hills. Beloved mother of Sharad and Hemant Sharma, she also is survived by her siblings, Ruki Sujan of California, Ram Moorjani of England, Mohan Moorjani of England, Gobind Moorjani of India, and Kishin Moorjani of New Jersey—as well as a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Sharda Moorjani was born in India in 1942 and emigrated to the United States in 1972 to pursue medical training at the University of Washington in Seattle and then at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She was married to Ganga Sharma in 1974. Sharda worked as a private practice physician for over 40 years, overseeing offices in East Orange, Madison, Irvington, and Millburn. She also was the founder of the Sharma Holistic Health Center in Millburn, where she lovingly provided alternative medical treatment for her patients over the past 25 years. Her life was devoted to the selfless care of others. The family will be receiving friends at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Friday, January 15th from 5 PM to 9 PM.
