Obituary of Herbert Scott

Herbert Scott, 84, a 40-year resident of South Orange, N.J., passed away on April 5, 2016, at Brook Haven Nursing Home, East Orange, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Tuesday, April 12, at 11 a.m. Interment is at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair, N.J. Mr. Scott was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1953. He retired after more than 39 years as a supervisor at Elgate Corporation in Harrison, N.J. Mr. Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Anderson Scott; devoted children, Victor, Gary, Brenda Hawkins, Keith and David Scott; loving grandchildren, Daryl, Shaun, Evan, Jason, Courtney, and Sydni; and dear siblings, Gilbert, Joan, and Fred Scott.
