Obituary of Katherine B. Ragan

Katherine B. Werthmann Ragan, 91, formerly of Maplewood, N.J., and Newark, N.J., passed on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment: Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. In the 1940s to 1950s, she was a secretary for Prudential Life Insurance Co. in Newark. Katherine was the beloved wife of the late George D. Ragan, and devoted mother of Craig Ragan and his wife, Sheila, Barbara Petrozzello and her husband, Tommy, Christine Fariello and her husband, Jack, Nancy Ragan, Kathleen Coyle and her husband, Pat. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Della Czajkowski.
