Dagny Maas of Califon, formerly of Warren, Dunellen, Maplewood, New York City, and Worcester MA, passed away on January 25, 2017. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church 767 Prospect St., Maplewood on Mon, Jan 30th at 10:00 AM. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Dagny was called a lovely Earth Angel who always offered a meal, gentle touch, friendly word, kind gesture - Her salutation/signature "Take Care" was sincerely meant. She loved with a genuine graciousness and therefore was loved in return. She was a gregarious joiner whose memberships included St Joseph's Catholic Church and choir, Dunellen Methodist Church, Maplewood and Dunellen Senior Clubs, Maplewood Adult Art Classes, various exercise and other groups. Dagny Maas left evidence of her loves and interests: art supplies, books, cards, choir hymnals, cherished bird figurines, cooking secrets and utensils, and more. Her home was a warm, wonderful, creative, and loving place no matter where it was. She was loved. When 100 people were invited to her 90th birthday party, everyone came and more tables were needed. She will be missed. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony R Maas, and her son Anton Martin. She is survived by her children Roberta and her husband Peter Wester; Kenneth J Maas and his wife Marilyn; Judith and her husband Bill Morgan; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Maas. She also leaves her 11 grandchildren: Michael Scott, Cheryl, Seth, Kira, Melissa, Jenny Lee, Ryan, Dan, Brian, Erin, and Sara, and her great grandchildren Michael, Robert, John, and Nora.
