I am so very sorry to hear of Mary Pat’s passing. We met three summers ago at a teacher seminar at Columbia University and became fast friends. Her energy, enthusiasm, and passion for history were contagious and I was sure our paths as history educators would cross again. I’m heartbroken to hear this is not the case, as I have prayed for and thought of her so very much over the past year. I know her family meant the world to her; please know my prayers are going out to all of you. As her fellow history lover, I will teach our beloved Hamilton with more spunk this year and think with the deepest prayers and fondest memories of Mary Pat’s life well lived.
