Bette always opened her home to me, from the time I was 11 years old. I spend many a day after school and weekend sleepovers on Oakview Avenue and at the Sea Bright shore house, with the Keller, Dietz and Skidmore families. I had this privilege because Diane Keller was then, and still is, my dear friend. I remember talking to Bette in the kitchen while we washed all those many dishes after the family meals. Our talks were filled with Bette's caring manner. She spoke to us about her feelings and life in general. She was interested in our thoughts as well. I will miss Bette with all my heart. My condolences go out to the whole family.
