LAICO Rose Joan Laico Of Newark, 84 Ms. Rose Joan Laico, 84, of Newark died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. Private funeral arrangements are by the Preston Funeral Home in South Orange. Born in Jersey City, Ms. Laico was a longtime resident of Newark. A homemaker, she was the devoted mother of Cathryn L. Smith and loving aunt of Mary Ann Young, Carmen and Gary Dispenziere. She is also survived by her former husband, James F. Smith.
