Obituary of Ruth A. Dietz

Mrs. Ruth A. Young Dietz, 89, of Union, formerly of Maplewood and South Orange, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 12 p.m. Interment will be private. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Dietz lived in Maplewood and South Orange before moving to Union 13 years ago. She was a department head at Victory Engineering Corporation in Springfield, where she worked from 1957 until retiring in 1992. Mrs. Dietz was the beloved wife of the late Howard J. Dietz; devoted mother of Robert H. Dietz and Judith R. Austin and her husband, Paul D. Sr.; loving grandmother of Robert H. Dietz Jr., Linda D. Crelin, Cristina E. Strigel and Laura A. Shaw, and dear sister of Kenneth Young. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
