Mrs. Anna R. McCaffrey Sullivan, 89, of South Orange died on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at home in South Orange. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. Visitation will be held at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net Born in Scranton, Pa., Mrs. Sullivan lived in South Orange for 60 years. She was a clerk with the Bruce Pharmacy in South Orange from 1967 to 1984 when she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, and a member of its Rosary Soociety and past president of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of Seton Hall Prep Mothers Club. God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, Come to me. With tearful eyes, we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Maurice J. Sullivan, the devoted mother of Maureen Sullivan, Regina Sullivan-Covello, Vincent Sullivan, Joann Farrell, Margaret Sullivan, Paul Sullivan, Martin Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan and Theresa Buckley. He was also is survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our lady of Peace Residence, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton, Pa. 18509, would be appreciated.
