You were a good friend to me for a very long time. I'll miss our lively conversations about bands & music. You helped make Southern Cross what it was.
Now you can rest in peace

in managers/bands following my experience with John and the Southern Cross Band, I often looked but never found John's endearing qualities. Best always...

John, you were a good friend and I loved you dearly. You were smart, funny, compassionate and sensitive, though you didn't show that side of yourself to everybody. I am so sorry that I didn't get to see you one last time. I will always have happy memories of the good times that you and Jack and I shared.

I was sad to hear of John's death from our mutual friend, Paul Ribardo. I grew up knowing John at Our Lady of Sorrows grammar school, and later during high school and college. I socialized with John, and got to know him quite well. He was a good guy. He was always very nice to me, and to my wife, Terri.
After college, my wife and I settled in Burlington, Vermont, where we raised our family and ran our business. We have been blessed in life.
Later in his life, I spoke a number of times with John about his life, and shared with him some of my own experiences with similar issues to those he was dealing with in life. I enjoyed those discussions, and am hopeful that John has now found the peace he had great difficulty finding here.
John had a good soul; and though I am not surprised by his passing, I am sad. He had much to offer.
Rest well old friend....

Just now, I found out about John's passing, 3 years later. We were great friends, and we dated on and off for 8 years in the early 80's. We have lost touch since I got married in 1989, but I have often thought of all the fun and laughter and crazy times we had, and how we both loved Mexican food, and would stay up till dawn just talking! I can't believe he is gone, but I know if there is a "Rock N Roll" heaven, he is there.
John, I miss knowing that you are no on this earth even though our lives took us in different directions, you will always be remembered.
Nancy

My wife Pat and I just found out about John's passing. I was good friends with John during our high school and college days and shared many fond memories. John loved that time in his life and as a result, lived a lot in the past. I last saw him about a year and a half ago on a trip to NJ and he loved to talk about sports and in particular Notre Dame football which is my alma mater. As the years passed we lost touch more than I would have liked but John was always a good friend and will be missed. Thanks Paul for being such a good friend to John.

I recently learned of John's passing. He was a good and loyal friend. We briefly dated when we were in our 20's and remained friends for years although we saw each other infrequently. John was always alot of fun and liked to party until the sun came up. We lost touch after I married and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I never really knew what he wanted from life and I'm not sure he ever found it, but I feel richer for having known John.
