Dorothy M. Conklin (nee Zitch), 77, of Maplewood died on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friend are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Born in East Orange, Mrs. Conklin lived in Maplewood for 50 years. She was a homemaker and an active member for many years at the Maplewood Womens Club, including chairman of creative arts and co-chairman of the social services department. Mrs. Conklin was extremely talented and a state award winner in knitting. She was also a member of the Maplewood Seniors and of the Martha Circle at Morrow Memorial Church, Maplewood.
Mrs. Conklin was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jeanette Zitch; wife of the late Edward F. Conklin, and mother of James Conklin of Baltimore, Md., Eileen Riedinger of Tunkhannock, Pa., Richard Conklin of Union, Edward Conklin of Glen Gardner and the late Thomas Conklin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren
