To The Connor Family, Mary was a friend of mine for over 40 years her on the rescue squad and me on SOPD. She always was involved with many events helping the residence of South Orange. Mary was always full of good spirit, unbounding energy, and a keen sense of humor. Our days on SORS were the best. We spent many a 2AM together! Rest gently, Mary.

You became a fun aunt when Mad married my Dad...and you certainly rose to the occasion with grace and class. "Willingly" coming on family vacations and always generous with the fun. I will always remember how you honored your dear brother and friend always. I will hold dear the memories of your faith in action whether for the church, the community or Mad's Kids. Rest in Peace Aunt Mary...you certainly earned the rewards of Heaven!

Mary,
Beyond being "Doozie"'s closest friend, you have been a loving Aunt to the O'Briens. Your service to our country and our community has always been an inspiration and we are all better off having had you in our lives. And it goes without saying, I will never, ever tell the squad that you allowed us to sit on your lap, and "drive" your car around the neighborhood with the rescue squad beacon flashing! Your in my prayers.
With all of our love,
Matt, Kaitlyn, Stephen and Nora O'Brien

How wonderful and beautiful that Mary lay down and go to eternal rest. No fuss, no struggle. Kind of the way she always did things. The loss is profound, but we pray that comfort be found in remembering the peace at which she was taken home. Many are waiting for her, and there will be a grand reunion! Mary once told our family that her brother, Peter often used to call her to pick him up in the "wee hours." I can't help but think that when the twins are reunited, he'll have some wisecrack about waiting for her. May she rest in eternal peace. May God grant all of you comfort and peace in the wonderful memories of this hard-working, loving, fiercely loyal, truly remarkable woman. Somehow, I feel that South Orange will never be the same. Godspeed, Mary.

My Dear, Dear Friend Mary: Thanks to Insurance Women, we became great friends more than 50 years ago. Attending Conferences, Conventions, trips to Hawaii, Bermuda, Cape Cod & the many annual summer weekends in CT at my home, with "Sister Jane" & our "Buffalo Buddies". How my Mom loved your visits! You kept all of us
laughing. Your Irish eyes always twinkled.
I miss you dear friend. May you rest in Peace. Love, Marge
