Obituary of Rose Marcantonio

Rose (Gurrado)Marcantonio, 89, of Millburn, N.J., passed away on Tues, July 21, 2015. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. only at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J. A graveside service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Short Hills, N.J., at 11:30 a.m. Rose was born in Union, N.J., to Frank and Irene Gurrado and lived in Millburn, N.J., for 69 years. Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Rita Policarpio and her husband, Vincent. She was the beloved grandmother of Rose Marie and her husband, Brian Kelly, and great-grandmother of Phillip and Matthew Kelly. She is also survived by her sister, Frances and her husband, Charles Pisciotta, and many nieces and nephews. Her trips to Atlantic City, N.J., were always enjoyed with her family. Her whole life was devoted to making others happy, especially her loving husband "Boots" and that mission was accomplished. She was predeceased by her husband, Vito "Boots" Marcantonio; her brother, Louis Gurrado, and sister, Mary Goglia.
