Frank J. Sileo, 84, of Mountainside, formerly of Maplewood, died on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Monday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Hollywood Cemetery, Union. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. ONLY. Born in Newark, Mr. Sileo lived in Maplewood for 30 years and moved to Mountainside two years ago. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1944 to 1946. Mr. Sileo was a jewelry caster for Tessler and Weiss, Union, from 1979 to 1989. Before that, he worked for Brasso-Blasi Jewelry, Newark, from 1960 to 1979. He was an usher at St. Joseph's Church and leader of Cub Scout Pack 222, Maplewood.
Mr. Sileo was the beloved husband of the late Breda Memoli Sileo; devoted father of John E. and Robert F. Sileo; loving grandfather of Kristen Sileo, Danielle Hughes, John E. Jr., Christopher and Matthew Sileo; dear great-grandfather of Mia and Gianna.
