My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Dr Woode's family. We worked together for almost 20 years and everyday he brought a smile to my face. I will always appreciate the time he took to ask about my son and his show of compassion when my Mom was ill. I truly hope he knew how much he was loved and respected in the hospital. You should be very proud of the number of lives he influenced as a physician, mentor, co-worker and friend. His life ended to soon and he will be missed dearly.Hopefully, you will find some comfort in the outpouring of support and love.

My dear friend Dr. Woode,
How shocking to walk into CTICU and experience the void of you not being there, taken so suddenly from us. We were political soul mates, often discussing politics, issues and events and being so much in accord. We talked about cycling, soccer (and my little girl, the budding soccer star), and other sports, shared many laughs. I'll never forget your flashing smile and quick wit. You were great to work with, never hesitating to call me for drug information. I'm sure everyone who worked with you appreciated your professionalism and humanity. You left an indelible impression upon us, and I for one will never forget you, and will miss you terribley.

We will all die some day. We're like water spilled on the ground, no one can gather it back. But God doesn't take away life. Instead, he plans ways that those who have been sent away will not have to stay away from him...........Rest In Peace Lawrence , you will be missed..........From The Bovell's Family.

I am going to go on record and say that it wasn't an honor but a true blessing to have known Dr. Woode for the past 11 years that I have been working as a PCA in the CTICU. Dr. Woode's level of expertise as a doctor, teacher, and intensivist is far unsurpassed. I will forever cherish the laughter, jokes, and conversations that we shared together. Dr. Woode made it fun for me to come to work, and I will insanely miss him. There isn't a doctor alive today that is even worthy of being compared to him. Just like there will never be another Michael Jackson, there will never be another Dr. Lawrence Woode. He is the best that has ever done it. My sincerest and deepest condolences and heart felt sympathy goes out to all of his family. I truely had a lot of love for Dr. Woode. RIP GREAT ONE
P.S.
You may be gone but you will never be forgoten.

"Good Morning, how are you"?, "Where have you been"?, "Thankyou nurse, youre' doing a FABulous job"! "Ok, whatever you say, nurse". I have worked with Dr. Woode for 21 years. We started together way back when. He is an excellent Dr., teacher, friend; a learned and unpretentious man. Things here will never be the same without you. My heart is broken and for his wife and family and friends. We will miss him yet have fond, lasting memories. It was an honor to have him in my life for such a short time. "Good night, Dr. Woode, see you shortly (tomorrow)"!

Dr. Woode:
You were a man who healed so many hearts.... You have left ours bruised and bleeding.... If only you had given us a chance to show you what you have taught us through the years to try and help you. Rest now, for you have truly earned it. I miss you dearly. Coffee and graham crackers in the morning will NEVER be the same; 6am is such a lonely time now..... With Heartfelt Sympathy, Kristine DeGaetano

I am deeply saddened to learn of Lawrence's death. All I can say right now is that, I too am feeling the pain and grief of his siblings because of the bond, unity and love that exists among them; and because I have known Lawrence from his youth. If there is any consolation, please know without a doubt that Lawrence has joined the company of his mother; an both are in the arms of Christ our Lord.
I am so sorry that I cannot be there in person, but send my Deepest and Special Sympathy.

AS we look back over time we find ourselves wondering.Did we remember to thank u? For the many times you worked by our side. to help and support us and care for the many broken hearts? To teach us by your example. the very value of hard work, good judgement and integrity. We'll wonder if we ever thanked you enough for all the early mornings and sacrifices you made for your lifes work! To let us learn from the very best of your teachings. for the simple things .we'll remember your high pitched laugh, your love of YANNI echoing over the unit. Your off key singing, warm smiles and all the fun over the years. If we've forgotten to show our graditude enough for all the things you did- then we're all thanking you now- and we are ALL hoping you knew all along how much u meant to us . GOD BLESS YOU LYNN

Dr Woode was a true miracle during his time with us. So kind, always willing to listen and share his knowledge; and always wanting to learn more, not just a little, but to soak up everything he could.. A brilliant physician and leader amongst us. We were so fortunate to have had him be a part of our community. What a world we would have if more of us shared his beautiful outlook on life.
God be with his family during this difficult time. My heartfelt prayers are with all of you and hope that your heartache will lessen as days pass. God Bless....thank you for sharing that miracle of a man who will remain in my memories
