Marianne Colletti Conklin, 73, of Union, N.J., passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, N.J., on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, N.J. Visitation will be held at Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in the Astoria section of Queens, N.Y., Mrs. Conklin lived in Union for 50 years. She was a concierge at Sunrise Assisted Living in Westfield, N.J., since 2005. She also worked at St. Joseph's Church, Maplewood, and volunteered as an administrative assistant for the school and rectory for over 30 years. She was also a former Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Columbiettes of the Springfield, N.J., Knights of Columbus. The beloved wife of the late Kenneth Conklin, Sr., she was the devoted mother of Marianne Marks and her husband, Frank; Maureen Conklin; Kenneth Conklin Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, and Melissa Volpe and her husband, Domenico; dear sister of Margaret Kanapes and her husband, Steven; loving grandmother of Mia, Joshua, Dylan, Sophia, and Hailey. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Associaton, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691 would be appreciated.
