Obituary of Robert W. Laufhutte, Sr.

Robert W. Laufhutte Sr., 82, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Born in Vaux Hall, N.J., Mr. Laufhutte had resided in Maplewood since 1954. He was a quality control manager at AirTron in Morris Plains, N.J., for many years before retiring in 1994. Mr. Laufhutte was a professional musician and piano teacher in his younger years. He was a member of the Rainbow Seniors at St. Joseph's Church and the Maplewood Seniors. He also served in the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Laufhutte loved his family and being near the ocean. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Spitzer Laufhutte; devoted father of Robert W. Laufhutte Jr. and his wife, Kathie, and Jeffrey M. Laufhutte and his wife, Jan; dear brother of Walter Laufhutte Jr.; loving grandfather of Jim Nazario, Jennifer Perhac and her husband, Andrew, Aimee Laufhutte, Kaitlin Nazario and Keith Laufhutte, and great-grandfather of Ava Laufhutte and Gianna Nazario; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
