Obituary of Garry J. Knowles

Garry J. Knowles passed away suddenly on Wednesday Jan 16, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Friday, Jan. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. Garry was most recently living in Irvington, N.J., but resided most of his life in Summit N.J. Garry was born on September 2, 1952, and grew up in Maplewood N.J. Garry went to Columbia High School, Union County College, and graduated valedictorian from DeVry Institute in 1978 with an electronic technician diploma. Garry was a faithful employee of Northern Telecommunications for 28 years. Garry was predeceased by his father, John J. Knowles; his mother, Svea Peterson Knowles, and his brother, Franklin Knowles. He was a beloved brother to Fred Knowles and his wife, Dottie Vilardo; sisters, Susan Batistoni and her husband, Joseph, and Patty Uzzolino and her husband, Robert; as well as nieces, Andi, Natalie, Kim, Kacie, Kara, Erika, Julia and Annie, and nephews Jack and Charlie.
