My sister, Gloria, gave me the sad news about Cousin Jeanne. I loved and adored all the Villanovas. They were all much older than I, so I had free rein of eavesdropping on their converssations. Like when Cousin Rose met her husband to be; when Cousin Mary met Bill. I could sit at the piano and bang away with no reprisals. I could eat as many cookies as I pleased from the tray that Zia Anina ordered from the bakery every saturday to offer any one who may stop by after Sunday Mass. Cousin Tony showed me how to hold a fork. Cousin Ralph taught me card tricks. Cousin Mickey took care of my teeth and played the piano for me. Cousin Terry scared the life out of me with "The Iron Man" who she could summon at will. And Cousin Jeanne. To me she looked exactly like the actress Anne Sheridan. My cousin looked like a movie star! Now they are all rejoicing in God's presence. What a joy to be part of a family that probably, unbeknownst to them, shaped my life. Rest in peace Jeanne.
