Edna L. Madden (nee Murphy), 87 of Union formerly of Maplewood, passed away at home on March 29, 2018.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Friday, April 6th at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be at St. Joseph’s Church on Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations to American Lung Association in New Jersey, P.O. Box 10188 , 37214, Newark, NJ 07101 (lung.org) or Barnabas Health Hospice, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052 would be appreciated. Arrangements by The Jacob A. Born in White Plains, NY, Edna had lived in Maplewood for many years before moving to Union in 1985. Mrs. Madden ran the CCD Program at St. Joseph’s Church from 1972-1982, she also ran the Bingo Program and was a past member of the Maplewood Little Club. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Madden and her daughter Amy Madden. She is survived by her children; Kathleen, Maryanne, Michael, John, Jim, Peggy, Leo and Eileen Lang, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
