Obituary of Jeremy Craig Mathews

Jeremy Craig Mathews, 44, of South Orange, NJ died suddenly on Friday, August 12, 2016 in Rio De Janiero, Brazil. Born in Chester, PA, Jeremy had lived in metropolitan New York for 21 years with the last four being in South Orange, NJ. He graduated from Temple University in 1994 with a BA in Journalism. He was SVP, Group Partner, Integrated Investment for Universal McCann, New York City. He leaves behind his devoted partner of 15 years, Christopher Crews. Jeremy was the beloved son of Dale R. Mathews and the late Jamie Hallman Mathews, loving brother of Elizabeth Gundaker (the late Elwood); Cheryl Persing (James) Dale R. Mathews, Jr. (Gloria) and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jeremy's passions included travelling and spending time with family including special friends Michelle Lomuscio and Sharon Hopkins. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ on Friday, August 19th from 4:00-8:00 PM. A second visitation will be held Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA on Sunday, Aug 21st from 7:00-9:00 PM. A Service will be held at Pagano Funeral Home on Mon, Aug 22nd at 9:30 AM. Internment in Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's or St. Jude's Hospitals.
