Lorraine F. Ashley (nee Tingley), 91, of Maplewood, N.J., died peacefully on Oct. 20, 2016, at Inglemoor Care Center in Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Morrow Memorial Church, 600 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood, on Saturday, Oct 29, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Lorraine was raised in Irvington, N.J., and had lived in Maplewood for the past 62 years. The daughter of Warren and Anna (Amann) Tingley, she was the devoted wife for 61 years of the late Walter J. Ashley and the beloved mother of Anne McCraig (Donald), Patricia Ashley (Marty Layton) and Scott Ashley; loving grandmother of Heather Bobrowski (Nicholas), Meghan Ashley, and Rachel Ashley-Layton, and devoted great-grandmother to Olivia, Maddie, and Rhett Bobrowski; dear sister to Warren Tingley and the late Doris Wetzler and loving cousin of Janice Freeman. She is also survived by her very special friends Norma, Esther and Maka. She loved her home and gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of the Maplewood Library (PO Box 183, Maplewood, N.J. 07040) would be appreciated.
