My sincere condolences to the entire McGrath family. As I looked at his picture I smiled - remembering all the dinners on the way home from work with Patty, the signs in the old kitchen wishing everyone good luck on this or that, the discussions, laughs, and just a general feeling of family of which I was immediately a part of being that I was "Irish" . There was no better St. Paddy's party - especially for the kids. I will always remember the secret of the"jello jigglers". As the marriages, grandchildren and great-grandchildren came, he was always there - as the patriarch with a pride that always showed. I am sad at his passing but will always smile with my memories. To Aunt Grace and all my beautiful cousins, I am so saddened by Uncle Johnny's passing. I was so glad to see him last year. He was so lucky to have such a beautiful family, who cared so deeply about him, and each other.And it showed in all of you. I'm sure he had my mom, Aunt Ann, Uncle Henry, Uncle Tom, and my dad(and my dads beloved sister Lillian) waiting for him with open arms.I bet Clancy,( the dog he gave us lol) was there too.! I cherish the times we were all together, when we were younger , which was ALL the time. We could really write a book! He really was the patriarch of not just your immediate family, but the entire McGrath clan. I am so sad, but knowing he has so many friends, and family in heaven, he can again be the patriarch up there. He will straighten them all out! Lol Please know, you're all in my thoughts and prayers, and please let me know if I can do anything at all. We will see you Thursday. Love you all, EileenðŸ˜¢ðŸ€ðŸ™ðŸ»
