Medford A. Penk, 88 of Union passed away at home on August 12, 2018. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Michaels Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union on Monday, August 20th at 10:15 AM. Interment St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Sunday, 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Wise Center, 2095 Berwyn Street, Union, NJ 07083, Center for Hope Hospice 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ, or the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a telecommunications manager for Lockheed Electronics in North Plainfield from 1974-1989. After retiring, he spent 25 years accompanying his son, Tim making many new friends in the plumbing and heating industry. Medford was predeceased by his wife Mary Louise Campbell and brother Charles Penk. He is survived by his children Michael A. Penk (Phyllis), Steven Penk, Timothy Penk (Patricia), Christopher Penk and Maureen Hess (Cornell), grandchildren Laurie, Maggie, Stephanie, Timothy, Gregory, Matthew, Ryan, Samantha, Christian, Sean, Kyle and Nora, great grandchildren Abigail, Nicholas and Emily, brother Gregory Penk (Debs) and brother-in-law James Campbell (Ann).
