Hughes --- Lillian B. Quinn Hughes of Irvington died on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at St. Barnabas Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland and immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1930’s. She was the loving wife of the late Patrick Hughes and is survived by five children: James of Irvington, Mary Giblin of Upper Montclair, Lillian Shaw of Edison, Sheila O'Donnell of Westfield and Patrick of Essex Junction, Vermont, also fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Agnes Quinn of Woodbridge, NJ and Sr. Finola Quinn CCVI of Houston, TX. She is a longtime member of St. Leo’s Rosary Society, Irvington and The Independent Irish Society, Newark. Mrs.Hughes will be remembered for her love of family and Irish heritage as well as her lifetime devotion to her catholic faith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home 2122 Millburn Ave, Maplewood on Mon, Jan 8th at 9:00 AM thence to St. Leo's Church, Irvington where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM. Interment Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Congregation of Sister of the Incarnate Word % Sister Finola Quinn, PO Box 230969, Houston, TX 77223-0969 donations will benefit the “COAR” Missionary for orphans in El Salvador.
