Obituary of Patrick J. McBride

Patrick J. McBride of Vaux Hall died on Feb. 23, 2007, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Josephs Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. McBride lived in Newark before moving to Vaux Hall 11 years ago. Before retiring, he worked for Laborers Local Union #112, Newark, from 1958 to 2002, first in construction, and, most recently, as business manager and president. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Maplewood; the Knights of Columbus, Harrison, and had been elected into Whos Who. He was the husband of Maureen Boyle McBride; father of Thomas and Charles McBride and Elyse Mintzer, and brother of Catherine Binford and Mary Graf. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
