Robert E. Mury, 71, of Morris Plains, formerly of Maplewood, died on Friday, March 16, 2007, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday from 11 to 11:30 a.m., thence to St. Magdalen Cemetery, 105 Mine St., Flemington, for a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in East Orange, Mr. Mury lived in Maplewood for 25 years before moving to Morris Plains 16 years ago. He served as an infantryman in the Army from 1954 to 1956 in Germany during the Korean War. He attained the rank of corporal. After his service in the Army, Mr. Mury rejoined his father in the family plumbing business until 1968. At that time, he took over the business from his father and he became the sole proprietor of Robert E. Mury Plumbing and Heating. He continued to service the Maplewood and Irvington area until present day. Surviving are his wife, Lenore Sereika Mury; children, Michele Vespa, Robert E. Mury Jr., LisaJean Mury Riley, Christopher and Mark Mury; grandchildren, Michael and Gianna Vespa, Madison and Chandler Mury Riley; brothers, Richard and John Mury, and a sister, Joan Mury.
