Robert B. Nonemaker, 84, of Maplewood died on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Calvary Reformed Church, 527 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Friday, March 30, at 12 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held at The Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. only. For more information or to send condolences please visit prestonfuneralhome.net Born in Queens, N.Y., Mr. Nonemaker lived in Maplewood for 70 years and owned a summer home in Sea Bright. A general contractor, he owned H.E. Nonemaker Inc., Maplewood, from 1945 to 1990, when he retired. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a pilot of the B-24 Liberator Lady Jane in the European Theater. He was a member and elder of Calvary Reformed Church in Maplewood and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1342 in Essex County. He was an avid dancer and figure skater. Mr. Nonemaker was the beloved husband of the late Alicia Egger Nonemaker; devoted father of Robert B. Nonemaker Jr. and his wife, Eileen, Christine Bonhivert and her husband, James, Laurie Nonemaker and Paul Nonemaker and his wife, Ann, and dear grandfather of Toni and Elise Bonhivert. In lieu of flowers, donations to Van Dyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, N.J. 08755 would be appreciated.
