I met Mr. Lerner when I did a Podiatry housecall for him in 1996.
My husband and I were living in Maplewood and became friends with Mr. Lerner.
We moved from New Jersey to Minnesota to Maine and then back to Minnesota. Mr. Lerner kept in touch with us through it all.
He was a great friend. We exchanged Christmas cards and phonecalls monthly if not more.
I always asked him if something happened to him how would I ever know. I tried to call him , but found that his phone was disconnected. It was then that I thought I need to research whether he had passed on.
To his family , I would just like to say if you are able to email me please do so. I really miss the thought of the phone ringing and hearing this is Cpt. Joe Lerner here.
I have three sons and he never spoke to me without asking how they were doing.
