Obituary of Rosalie J. Preston

Rosalie J. Preston of Phillipsburg, formerly of South Orange, passed away in the Lopatcong Care Center, Phillipsburg. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Born in South Orange, Ms. Preston lived there for many years before moving to Phillipsburg four years ago. She was a sales associate for Sear Company in Livingston for 10 years before retiring in 1990. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary for Mutual of New York in South Orange from 1950 to 1980. Ms. Preston served in the U.S. Army WAAC during World War II, from 1943 to 1946, in the European Theatre, as a finance typist and clerk. She was the dear sister of Cathrine P. Garrison and Mary Weinberg, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews.
