Obituary of John E. Thompsett

John E. Thompsett, 88, of Saylorsburg, Pa., formerly of Union, N.J., and Vailsburg, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, in Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab, Bangor, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
Born in Newark, N.J., Mr. Thompsett lived in Saylorsburg, Pa., for 17 years. He was a printer with Westinghouse Corp., Newark, from 1949 until retiring in 1983. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War, serving in the Signal Corps.
Mr. Thompsett was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Denning Thompsett; devoted father of Christopher Thompsett and his wife, Dawn; dear brother of Margaret Simonson and loving grandfather of Alyssa and Christopher Thompsett.
