Obituary of Blanche V. Stanford

Mrs. Blanche V. Stanford (nee Zabrodski), 80, died at home in Maplewood on Dec. 8, 2007, after a long illness. The family will be receiving friends at the Jacob A. Born in the Ironbound section of Newark, Mrs. Stanford moved to Maplewood in 1955. She received a B.F.A. degree in art education from Pratt Institute in New York in 1949 and taught art in the Newark public school system until 1957. She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Stanford, in 1984, and is survived by sons, Scott and Evan; a daughter, Stacy; her brother, George Zabrodski, and three grandchildren.
