Carmen Iantosca Sr., 81, of South Orange entered into eternal rest of Monday, Feb. 4, 2008. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Friday, Feb. 8, at 10:30 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For more information, visit prestonfuneralhome.net. Born in South Orange, Mr. Iantosca was a foreman for the South Orange Water Department for 33 years before his retirement. He then worked for Clairmont Cadillac in Caldwell from 1990 to 2000. He was a charter member of both the South Orange Lions and Maplewood UNICO. He was a past president of the Lions and held various offices for UNICO of Maplewood. Mr. Iantosca served the South Orange community for many years. He chaperoned at the Baird Community Center and was an umpire for the South Orange Little League. He also served at Our Lady of Sorrows Church as an usher for 20 years. Mr. Iantosca is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Helen Marcelli Iantosca. He was the devoted father of four children and their spouses, Michael J. and Chutima, Carmen Jr. and Kathleen, both of South Orange, Elvira Wainwright of Montpelier, Vt., and Gilda and Steven Shupp of Cranford; dear brother of Sophia and Michael Iantosca and the late Josephine Jacobi. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Kelly, Daniel, Christopher, Michael, Nicholas, Franklin, Kevin, Kyle, and Ryan.
