I remember Mrs. Wallingford to be a devoted wife to her beloved Mr. Wallingford. I worked for Mr. Wallingford at Action Housing for Greater Cincinnati in the 1970s. Mr. Wallingford encouraged me to go back to college when he realized I wanted to be a writer. It was mainly through his encouragement that I returned and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Tonight I will be honored with other writers at the Mercantile Library in Cincinnati for my recent novel, Pink Dice (www.pinkdicenovel.com). I have thought of him often and how he would have been so pleased that my novel has done so well. He and Mrs. Wallingford represented a class of the finest people who are quickly dying out. I miss them.
My condolences to the family.
