I am sorry over the loss of an old friend. Jim played a HUGE role in my motivation and inspiration growing up. Loved working on creative projects with him. Jim was an incredible artist, whether it was film, art, music or just his own words. My most deepest condolences.

Please know I will be thinking of your family. James was in my TV Production class. We made some really great videos and commericals. He helped me with my Kirk Muller Interview. I will always remember him for that. My deep condolences are with you at the this time.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Wels and Kristina - I am so sorry for the early passing of Jim. As you know, I started hanging out with Jim during our senior year in high school. We played on the tennis team together and he ALWAYS beat me. He had absolutely no 2nd serve and he still found a way to pull it out. From there on, Jim was a great friend to me. He introduced me to new styles of music (Neil Young) and film (David Lynch). We spent 2 wonderful summers together at the shore. Jim was just about the nicest guy you could meet. He treated people right. He had the best laugh & a sense of humor that always made others smile. In 2002, I was honored to have him in my wedding party. I deeply regret not staying more in touch during these recent years. I will take my memories of Jim with me and use them to make me a better person. We will all be reunited with him when our time comes. Until then, I will miss you buddy.

Jim was a very gentle and sensitive soul for whom the disappointments of this live cut deeper than they do for most folks. That ability to so strongly feel emotion worked both ways, though, and over the last couple of days I've remembered the countless times I saw him lifted higher by the good things in life than anyone around him. We'll miss you Jim.

It was an honor to call Jim my friend. He was the kindest, most good-hearted person you could ever hope to meet. I first met Jim in 1983 at Far Brook School. I was the nerdy, shy new kid but he went out of his way to welcome and befriend me. That was just how he was. And what a sense of humor! He was one of those guys who could make you laugh so hard you couldn’t breathe. He also had absolutely impeccable taste-- if he liked something, a book, movie or rock and roll band, you knew it was cool. My deepest condolences go out to Mrs. Wels and Kristina. Jim was a true inspiration to everyone lucky enough to make his acquaintance.

I have nothing but fond memories of Jim during the time we spent together at Columbia and after. He was a kind, creative, and loyal person who will be missed. I regret that I didn't get to know him better after I left New Jersey. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Renata and Kristina on their terrible loss. I remember Jamie as a little boy, a great neighborhood kid who was well liked by all. He was sweet and polite and full of smiles. And no wonder...he came from a wonderful and loving family. I am so saddened by your loss and wish that Jamie's memory remain a great blessing to you, always.
