Obituary of Leroy C. Branco

Leroy C. Branco, 88, of Lakewood, formerly of Springfield, died on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Harrogate Life Care Community, Lakewood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. James Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave., Springfield, on Saturday, July 18, at 9:15 a.m. Interment is in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall Township. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Sanlandero, Calif., Mr. Branco spent the last three years in Lakewood after living in Springfield for 45 years. He was a baker with A&P Bakery in Newark from 1961 to 1991 before retiring. Besides being a loving father and husband, he was also a good friend to many who knew him and always ready with a strong hand and back to help with any project. Mr. Branco was the beloved husband of the late Michele Gallois Branco; devoted father of James Branco and his wife, Debra, of Wall Township and Marie Anne Branco of Springfield, and loving grandfather of James Branco, Natalie Birdsall and Gabrielle Branco.
