I've had a hole in my heart since the last time I saw you and when I heard about your passing, that hole grew much bigger. I think of your family often, especially now that it's this time of year again. My time with you was short, but you taught me so many things and I experienced a lot because of you. So many random things make me think of you...most recently was eating at Pita Pit...the last time I had been there was with you, made me miss that summer. Best summer of my life.
I have a card I've never mailed to your parents. I really don't know why I've kept it. So, in case they see this, I wanted to say one of the things I loved most about you was the way you spoke of them. Your mom and Kirk were such amazing parents to you, and I really admired how you talked about them to me.
It's amazing how much you impacted my life. I wish so bad we never lost touch. I will never forget you and the summer we had. I love you J!
I read this at my aunt's memorial a few months ago: "In God's plan every life is long enough and every death is timely. And though you and I might wish for a longer life, God knows better. While we are questioning God, those that have died are marveling at the splendors of Heaven and lifting their hands in worship."

My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news
It never occurred to me, how much I could lose
I find myself wishing that it wasn't real
Every time I think about it, pain is all I can feel.
Tears fall from my eyes, I can barely see
But my heart tells me that he'll always be with me
I lie in bed and cry at night
And I don’t feel any better in the morning light
And I will love and miss him forever
Until the day we are again together.
Together in that perfect place above,
Filled with caring, sharing and love
But until that day comes- I will wipe my tears away.
And hopefully see him again someday.

jason thought the choice of a mini, as a car, for me and tom would be very amusing. he thought it would be quite funny to see us driving around brooklyn in a mini. it is hysterical if you take a moment to picture it - don't know why, but it is.

My fullest condolescences go toward his entire family. The world truly has lost another great man at such a young age. Jason was an amazing kid, smart, funny and he loved life. He actually helped me out a great deal when I was in need of help. With no hesitation, Jason assisted me and together we solved my problem. I cannot believe that he has now passed. Regretfully, I was never given the opportunity to know him very well. However I do know that he was dearly loved by many and it is such a tragedy to lose him. He was too young with too much potential to pass so soon, but I truly believe he is in better hands now. My prayers are with your family in this tough time Jason. God Bless.

My condolences for the Parish family and friends of Jason Parish, even do I didn't know Jason I can see that he was a person that loved life and he cared about others, and he will be greatly missed, in these times of sadness we can believe the Bible promise of resurrection, and have faith in his word when he said in John 11:25,26 "Jesus said: 'I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?'" such an historical figure, Jesus Christ, said that about himself more than 19 centuries ago.
Mrs. Teresa, all the Parish, and Young family may you find comfort in the words of the Holy Scriptures and know that Jehovah will comfort you in your time of grief.
Sincerely,
T

Jason was my student in my eighth grade course Holocaust Studies. We all know he could be a "rascal," but I saw a more serious, educationally-motivated student in this setting. He always wanted to learn more about this tragic historical event. He was one of the few students who stayed after class to hug a Holocaust survivor or thank a notable speaker. Once, in fact, he had tears in his eyes when a MMS teacher told the story of her Father's escape in the Armenian Genocide, WWI.
I am deeply grieved by the loss of such an emphathetic young man. May the stories you hear this week lessen your great sorrow.

I met him only once, about one year before he passed. We ended up hangin out the whole weekend. Even though our time spent together was short-lived, he had a strong impact on me. His energy was great, and it seemed a lot of people were drawn to it. He was a fair, funny, honest kid who had this hold on life that was beyond me. My deepest regards go out to all of his family and friends during these times. I had always hoped i would run into him again. you will be missed greatly.
