Obituary of Barbara T. Schoner

Barbara Tonnesen Schoner, 80, of Maplewood, N.J., died on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Prospect Presbyterian Church, 646 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Saturday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m. Interment is at the convenience of the family. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Mrs. Schoner was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Norway. She resided in Maplewood for over 50 years. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Victor Auth in South Orange from 1970 until retiring in 2005. She also worked previously at the V.A. Hospital in East Orange as a dental assistant. Mrs. Schoner was the beloved wife of the late Franklin M. Schoner Jr.; devoted mother of Jeffrey D. and R. Scott Schoner; dear sister of Betty Ann, Ellen, and Mette, and loving grandmother of Marcella and Madeline Schoner. In lieu of flowers, donations to Prospect Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
