"HAVING JOAN IN MY DAY AT MEADOW WAS A GIFT. I ALWAYS KNEW THAT AT THE END OF THE DAY JOAN AND I WOULD HAVE AT LEAST A HALF HOUR OF CRAZY LAUGHTER AND BIZARRE STORIES TO SHARE. NOBODY COULD MAKE A BAD DAY SEEM MORE BEARABLE OR A BRIGHT DAY RADIATE MORE THAN A VISIT NEXT DOOR TO JOAN. JUST THINKING ABOUT HER OFFBEAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND CONTAGIOUS LAUGHTER MAKES ME SMILE AND WANT TO RUN ONE-DOOR-OVER TO SHARE. JOAN WAS ENJOYED, AND LOVED BY SO MANY, AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ANYONE WHO WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE HAD HER IN THEIR LIFE."
