Obituary of John W. Rice, Sr.

John W. Rice, Sr. of Maplewood, formerly of Newark and Hackensack, died peacefully at home on Nov 12, 2011. He is survived by wife of 54 years Henrietta E. Rice, sons Rev. John W. Rice, Jr. (Karon) and David M. Rice, Sr. (Kelly), and daughter Maria Rice Bellamy (Melvin), sisters Lucille Peterson, Hazel Scott and Lois Beverly, five grand-children, 2 great grand-children and a host of friends and loved ones. Mr. Rice was a veteran of the Korean War, received his BS from Fairleigh-Dickinson University and contributed to the Apollo 11 Space Project. He was most recently employed by Honeywell, Inc. Funeral Service at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5 High St., Montclair on Fri, Nov 18th at 11:00 AM. Viewings on Thurs, 6:00 - 8:30 PM and Fri, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church.
