Obituary of Thomas O'Grady

Thomas O'Grady, 76, of South Orange, N.J., passed away at home on Dec. 19, 2018.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Saturday, Jan 19, at 9:30 a.m. Interment of ashes will be at at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Born in Newark, N.J., Thomas lived in South Orange for 50 years. He was a deputy sherrif with the Essex County Sheriff's Department in Newark for many years. Thomas was proud of his Irish heritage and was involved in many Irish organizations.
He was the beloved father of the late Geraldine O'Grady; dear brother of James (and his wife, Mary) and the late Margaret M. O'Grady; dear uncle of Mary Francis and James Patrick O'Grady, and loving great-uncle of Mary Catherine and Owen Watts.
