Obituary of Phyllis (Jean) Gailey

   Phyllis (Jean) Gailey, 82, passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019 with her beloved family by her side. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Tuesday January 22, at 10:30 AM. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be held at The Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange on Monday from 3-7 PM. Born in Orange, NJ., Jean lived in Maplewood and South Orange for many years before moving to Whippany 6 years ago. She was a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary Society. She was a devout Catholic and a proud Italian American. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, adoring mother, caring grandmother, and a loyal sister to her siblings throughout her life. She created a warm open home to all of her family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Gailey.  Jean is survived by her devoted children Colleen Petrilli and her husband Joseph, Cynthia Dante and her husband Andrew, Christine Glenn and her husband Thomas,  loving grandmother of Joseph and Jenna Petrilli, Patrick, Grace and Mackenzie Glenn and dear sister- in-law of Janet Romano. Jean was predeceased by all of her siblings Christine DiTullio, Joseph Fiore, Mary Colineri, William Fiore, Margaret Fiore, Carmela Quadrel, Albert Fiore, Gloria Lyons and Samuel Fiore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
