Obituary of Helen M. Hamilton

Helen M. Hamilton,(nee McTeigue) 82 of Summit formerly of Maplewood passed away on Tuesday January 22, 2019. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Immacualte Conception Chapel on the campus of Seton Hall University 400 South Orange Ave , South Orange NJ on Sunday Feb 17, 2019 at 1PM. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Newark and lived in Maplewood for many years before moving to Summit. She was an employee at Seton Hall University for over 25 years in several departments with her last position as Administrator for the on line university. During her time at SHU she spent many years working in the  Freshman Studies program where she was known as “mom” to hundreds of students.  She was predeceased by her husband J. Gerard Hamilton Jr. She is survived by her sons Jerry and his wife Sylvana, Matthew and his wife Melanie , David and his wife Grace along with her 7 grandchildren Ryan , William , Matthew ,Faith , Jacob , Daniel and Julia.
