Obituary of Helen R. Wladyga

Helen R. Wladyga, 91, (nee  Wozowicz), passed away on Monday February 25, 2019 at St. Barnabas Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Saturday March 2nd at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held at The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood on Friday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzeimer’s Association of Greater NJ Chapter, 425 Eagle Rock Ave., Suite 203, Roseland, NJ 07068 would be appreciated.

Helen was born in  Powell, PA and had lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for over 50 years before moving to Maplewood 11 years ago. She was a Food Service Worker at Barringer High School, Newark for over 20 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Wladyga and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Theresa Connolly (Andrew), Elaine Wladyga (Jerry Soffer), grandchildren Kelly Bruce (Tim), Kevin Connolly (Elba), Pam Ofri (Jon) and Cara Soffer and great grandchildren Hunter and Kayla Bruce and Ryan Ofri.
